nursery

After Big L transitioned back home, I couldn’t bring myself to put Lil Baby G in “baby” room. Over the months spent with Big L, it became his room and no longer just a generic baby room.  So a few weeks after he left, I moved the crib into my master bedroom to transition Lil Baby G to the crib but not into a nursery yet.  He was likely about 3 months old at the time.

As he approached 6 months and while my mother was in town for the holidays I knew it was time to finally complete the renovations and give Lil Baby G a proper nursery of his own.

So after the rest of the family left town, the renovation began over Christmas to make the changes.

I had been on Pinterest for months gaining inspiration for the project.  I knew I wanted a light, gender neutral nursery that had a cozy cottage feel and fit with the rest of the style of my home.

I have been wanting to install a faux ship lap wall in the home for months so I finally decided the nursery would be the first!  Thankfully most of the other items I had been collecting over months, so the project was labor intensive but really affordable.

The harder part begins as I try to transition Lil Baby G from being right by my side through the night to his own room…. I am not sure who it will be tougher for 😉
