Best shopping on 30A – Oko

July 7, 2020

If you are heading down to 30a, you MUST stop into OKO Lifestyle… it’s for the whole family!  It’s locally owned by the sweetest sisters Abbie and Katie who clearly have amazing style.  They source high-quality clothes, shoes, accessories and toys… so there is something for everyone.  I love to stop in and shop every time I am down at the beach.  They now have two stores – one in Rosemary beach and the original I shop at which is at the infamous family-friend hotspot call the Hub.

74 Town Hall Lane, Rosemary Beach, FL

35 Hub Lane, Watersound, FL

Below I will share ALL my favorites from our day of shopping and you can shop them too HERE!

If you can’t find something on the link, just message them for help! Seriously they are the sweetest…

For the adoption, we planned a trip down to my favorite vacation spot in Santa Rosa Beach, FL along the 30a highway with white sandy beaches along the Gulf of Mexico.  The older adopted siblings to my adopted children also live in Florida and agreed to drive up and meet us their to reunite the kids.  While planning for the big trip and special day, I was anxious about what all of us should wear… I mean these photos will be ones we cherish for a lifetime!  And y’all know I love to have coordinated outfits 🙂

Our trip was quickly planned and I wasn’t going to have time to shop locally in Colorado, so we reached out to my favorite little shop in Santa Rosa called OKO, of course!  The big kids got to join me for a shopping adventure to select their outfits… and you know my girly girl Hannah felt like a princess.  She was beyond excited to go “shopping”.  Honestly it is a really RARE occasion that I go into stores lately… even before Covid.  The few times I have tried before, I just regret it and we end up with snacks all over the floor and it’s far from enjoyable.  This shopping experience at OKO was a DREAM….

The kids had their own little play area with fantastic toys to enjoy while we laid out options for them to pick from.  They giggle and played with the nanny while I browsed… and I actually got to browse without anxiety.

We started with Hannah’s outfit because she LOVES to be in pink so we knew it would be best to make her happy first and then find coordinating outfits for the boys.  And they had SO many precious options, honestly it was really hard to narrow it to these top 6.  I wish we could have bought them ALL.

Hannah’s favorite was clear… she had her heart set on the ruffled pink beauty.  It was a hard choice with the white romper (which they should make for adult… hint hint!), but her choice was the ONE.

Next up was Grayson, who is the most adorable little baby model.  But he is also hard to shop for with his long legs and tiny waist.

These drawstring linen pants were PERFECT… adjustable waist, long and cozy.  He looked so coastal chic 🙂

If anyone is looking for a baby model…he is available, haha!

Lastly for the kids, Jackson joined us after nap time and picked out his romper and we added some sandals for all the kiddos.  We had light and airy, classic and coastal outfits… just what I hoped for!  And THEN it was the kids nap time and Mommy’s time to shop!!  They poured me a mimosa and we went on a major try-on… I can’t remember the last time I casually tried on outfits and drank a fruity drink!  And of course, they had so many options it took me quite a while to find the perfect one.  I mean I just HAD to try them all on to see.   Each of these four dresses were take home worthy for me…

While I ended up selecting a dress, I also tried on pants/shorts and a tee combos.  I am obsessed with a great white or neutral top and they had a huge selection, but I captured my favorites here.  The girls at OKO were extremely amazing and provided a link to most of these so that y’all (and ME) could shop them later HERE.

I even branched out and let my Creative Director, Ashley, “style” me and so I surprised myself and loved these flowy pants!  And of course, the ruffled white shorts were dreamy… I am obsessed with white if you haven’t noticed, haha.

And if all that wasn’t enough, Abbie and Katie contributed a set of 3 of these gorgeous bracelets to our adoption giveaway!  Truly a once-in-a-lifetime day for me and I will remember it forever.  Don’t miss out if you’re ever in the area…. you won’t be dissappointed!
